Our Story

Hi, I'm Jo - the founder of Ned & Noosh.  

Ned and Noosh was born out of my passion for health and a love of all things old school.  Studying Naturopathy 10 years ago, I put my study on hold to be a full time Mum.  Having clothing for my daughter that was natural fibre not synthetic, opting for wooden toys instead of plastic, and having items that we would keep for many years or eventually pass on to others was important to me.  This is the ethos of Ned and Noosh. 

One of my favourite photos is of my Dad holding my daughter when she was 8 weeks old.  My Dad’s name is Ned and from the moment my daughter was born our nickname for her was Noosh. 

The birth of our daughter in 2014 came after six long and heartbreaking years of infertility which took us down the path of IVF and other treatments.  Being a Mum has been my greatest privilege and blessing.  My Dad is a cancer survivor, having fought a rare and aggressive cancer in 2020.  This is the story behind our business name and the real life Ned and Noosh.
